After yesterdays session at Weybourne just had to go back again today, conditions similar to yesterday sightly more wind approx 14 mph which made it feel colder than the expected 8 degrees.
Arrived at the beach to see three others fishing, one under the cliffs on the rough ground the other two left of the outfall pipe.
My set up today was:
Rod 1... 2/0 hook, single clip down baited with squid or peeler crab.
Rod 2... 1/0 circle hook, single clip down baited with raw prawn, squid or herring strips
Bites were hard to come by in fact only had about 5 bites all session which produced three fish all to rod 2 baited with squid, these were two dabs and a short spined scorpion fish, all bites on rod two produced fish and as this was the first time I had used circle hooks quite pleased with the result, bites on rod 1 fished at distance all missed, presumably small fish.
Spoke to both the chap fishing the rough ground (2 dabs on squid) and one of the chaps fishing left of the pipe (plenty of fish both dabs and whiting all on frozen lugworm) had about 3 lb of fish to take home.
Suspect today was a day for worm based on others results.
