Decided today to revisit Weybourne, arrived at 09:30 (HT 08:30, 5.10m) wind SW 12 mph and sunny sea flat, was still hopeful of a few fish.
Set up rod one with single hook clip down to a size 2/0 hook baited with lugworms in the hope that the odd cod may be around whilst set up on rod 2 was the same with a 1/0 hook baited with mackerel strip, had bites from the off on both rods mainly whiting but all of a good size with the odd green dabs thrown in, caught 16 fish before bites dropped off at 10:40, 10 whiting biggest 33 cm, 5 green dabs biggest 30 cm and a small rockling so not a bad short session.
Most of the fish caught were on mackerel strip but this didn't surprise me as the worms were only leftovers from the other day and not very good.
Planning on trying again tomorrow so watch this space.
